My fused glass jewelry is composed of several layers of very thin, colored glass and iridescent clear glass that are melted together or “fused” in a kiln. Often I will sandwich copper or silver wire between the glass layers.
I developed a way to trap and position air bubbles which leant itself perfectly to the creation of luminous eyes inside small glass faces. I also have used glass fusing paints which offer a different fluid style to my continued exploration of faces.
My jewelry ranges from two by two inches for a small brooch to the Mermaid necklace which measures 6 inches wide.
